| Leeds was the place to be
in April 2004 when electrical store Comet hosted a ball in aid of
their Charity of the Year NCH. Guests were greeted with a champagne
reception and a chocolate fountain followed by a scrumptious four-course
meal. During the evening comedian and playwright Arthur Smith entertained
the audience, comedy waiters fooled the guests with their antics and
magicians stunned the tables with their sleight of hand. Emmerdale
actress Verity Rushworth presented the fantastic raffle prizes and
the auction raised a staggering £15,000 for NCH. The casino
tables were hugely popular with guests trying their hand at the roulette
and the dance floor was never empty as the band played into the night.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ball and we’re already looking
forward to next year’s extravaganza! |
